Pre-order details and FAQ:
When will the watch be ready to ship?
Estimated delivery will be between May - July 2013. Production delays do occur, so this timeframe is not a guarantee.

Why a pre-order?
The benefits are two-fold: 1) the customer is able to reserve a watch that will be produced in low annual numbers; and 2) we are able to develop new models quicker with the additional funds from the deposits.

It is important to reiterate that delays may occur, but our goal is to make the process as exciting and enjoyable as possible. The $250 deposit is 100% refundable - you can cancel your pre-order at any time.

How many watches will be available? Is this a limited edition?
The initial batch will consist of 100 of each dial colour, for a total of 300 watches. Each dial variation will be numbered from 1 to 100, and it is possible to select a favourite serial number.

At this early stage, it is not clear whether a second run will be produced. However, subsequent runs (if produced) would bear a standard five digit serial.

Where can I get updates and progress reports?
All pre-order participants will receive an email update on the 5th of each and every month beginning in January. If you do not receive one, please check your spam folder and add the @halioswatches.com domain to your approved senders list.

Why isn't there a "special pre-order price"?
In order to offer a pre-order discount, the "regular", post-pre-order price would have to be inflated. We understand that discounts are a very strong incentive, but our preference is to keep the pricing as fair and consistent as possible.

So do the pre-order participants get anything special?
Pre-order participants will receive an additional leather strap with bronze buckle. Our straps are handmade in Canada by a master saddlemaker using genuine Horween leather. When the watch is ready to ship, customers will be able to choose from 3 or 4 different straps.

Much more important than an extra strap though, is the fact that you're investing your passion in the project, right along with me. I am personally very excited about this watch, and I'm going to share its progress as best I can.

  3. The Tropik diver will be released at the same time as the bronze. Considering opening up pre-orders for the diver as well due to the large number of requests...

  4. Will the indices/hands be bronze, yellow gold, or rose gold?

  5. Good question! I'm curious about hand/indice color as well. Some pre-patinated bronze would be awesome but might compromise legibility...

  6. The hands and markers will be closest to yellow gold in colour.

  11. Why doesn't the dial have your logo on it? Your logo is a something special and would look great on this, as it does on all your watches. I'm sure you're trying to make this minimal and more dressy, but I think many will miss that it's not there.

  13. For the Tropik Diver, would be awesome if you made available (for extra charge, of course), a stainless version of the smooth bezel of the Tropik B. Also, have you figured out pricing for the diver? Need to set my watch budget.

  14. stainless steel Tropik both share the same case, so the reference can be used for both.
